The Igbo people have a saying: “Whenever you wake up is your morning.” The Majors, is a magical film, illustrating the first twenty-two cards—called The Major Arcana—in the deck of Tarot cards . The story begins at the moment The Hero wakes up as The Fool and has to encounter her dreams and nightmares; she wrestles with her fears and with her faith. Eventually she arrives at the end of her old self renewed—carving a new self from an old essence.
Inspired by the Hero’s Journey as explained by Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung & Toni Morrison, The Majors is a marker of time, celebrating the power of life lived along a spiritual clock.
