Maze Art St.Moritz: Art Among the Peaks

26 February - 1 March 2026
Overview

L’Appartement Gallery is pleased to participate in MAZE Art Fair in St. Moritz with a cross-disciplinary presentation of modern and contemporary art and design. The booth brings together new paintings by Pablo Benzo, Konstantina Krikzoni (whose solo exhibition ARMATURA is currently on view at the gallery in Geneva until 30 April 2026) and Claudio Massini alongside key historical figures such as post-war abstract painter Piero Dorazio, Brazilian modernist Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, Australian Aboriginal artist Sally Gabori, and Brazilian artist Chico Da Silva. The works are presented as a playful yet rigorous art-historical riff—displayed without hierarchy. In parallel, L’Appartement introduces sculptural objects and furniture by Maarten Vrolijk, Elizabeth Garouste & Mattia Bonetti, and Philippe Hiquily.

Rather than staging a contrast between past and present, the presentation reveals a continuity of painterly urgency and formal investigation. Dorazio’s chromatic structures and Lorenzato’s rhythmic surfaces anticipate the spatial and psychological architectures explored by Konstantina Krikzoni, where line operates as both armature and emotional contour. Gabori’s cartographic memoryscapes and Chico Da Silva’s instinctive, mythic figuration find an unexpected echo in Pablo Benzo’s bold, symbolic compositions, where color becomes both narrative device and field of tension. Across generations and geographies, these artists share a commitment to color as structure and gesture as language. The inclusion of design works extends this dialogue into three-dimensional space, underscoring a shared sensitivity to form, material, and composition that transcends medium and period.
